World AIDS Day
World AIDS day is recognised on the 1st of December every year since 1988. It is one of the eight global public health campaigns by the World health Organisation. On this day government and health officials, non-governmental organisations, and individuals around the world aim at the education on AIDS prevention and control.
Objectives of World Heart day
- The importance the expanding coverage for treatment and prevention of HIV internationally.
- Developing policies and provide standard technical guidelines to assist countries to boost intervention in healthcare systems in order to combat the HIV/AIDS.
- Providing support to low-income countries. Securing diagnostic tools and medicine that are needed to combat HIV.
